A typical noise map gives a geographical general view of the noise levels that appear in each area of a plant. The noise map is not necessarily identical with a person’s condition of exposure. The risk of getting noise damage is among other things dependent on time of stay in the actual area (noise zones) together with exposure for high impulse noise that is possibly not sufficiently given in the noise map.
A risk assessment clarifies the picture of exposure.
